Waste The Day IPA

Nothing goes better together than good friends and good beer.

Earlier this month our very own Bobby Oliver and Cody Morris teamed up with Brian Kelly and Tyler Tucker from Coronado Brewing Company to brew a magnificent collaboration beer: Waste The Day IPA.

This deliciousness of an IPA comes in at an easy 5.2% ABV making it the perfect beer for both the weekends and the weekdays. We brewed this SMaSH (single malt and single hop) beer with Marris Otter malts and Mosaic hops.

This hazy and juicy IPA is on tap now at the Coronado Brew Pub (170 Orange Ave, Coronado, CA 92118)..

Fresh August Beers

If you’ve been in to the brewery you’ve noticed our gargantuan, ever-changing beer boards. We love beer. A lot. We’re always brewing new styles and experimenting with new recipes, and this month is no exception.

Double Dry Hopped IPA

For the true San Diegan and hop lover, this beer is exactly what you’re looking for. Dry hopped with El Dorado and Simcoe hops, our Double Dry Hopped IPA is juicy deliciousness. With a pound and a half per barrel of hops, the second dry hop adds a unique hop character to this beer that we haven’t been able to replicate with just one dry hop.

Raspberry Wheat

Raspberry Wheat has long been an employee favorite. A summertime release means that the employees are counting down the days from January to August. This beer is bursting with raspberry flavor, and for good reason! We brewed it with 4.2 pounds per barrel of real raspberry puree. Don’t let the pinkish hue fool you - this beer is all real and all delicious.

Style: Wheat Ale

ABV: 5.3%

IBU: 38

Berried Treasure

We consider this the big brother of Raspberry Wheat. After seeing the popularity of Raspberry Wheat, head brewer John Egan wanted to do an Imperial version with more cowbell – errrr berry. Blackberry, Blueberry, Boysenberry and Raspberry puree, along with a distinct malt character add new dimensions to this beer. Brewed with 6.6 pounds of real fruit puree per barrel this beer is an Imperial fruity masterpiece. This beer takes 'go big or go home' to a whole new level.

Style: Fruit Beer

Our August Mission

This August, our mission to is to help raise money for The Seany Foundation. The Seany Foundation is a non-profit that was that was founded to carry on the legacy of Sean Lewis Robins and his battle with Ewing sarcoma, a rare childhood cancer that affects soft tissue and bone. The Foundation was Sean’s vision. He first expressed the desire to start a foundation to help advocate for other kids who had cancer in 2005. He even named it “The Seany Foundation.”

After Sean’s death on November 17, 2006, the Robins family began working on making Sean’s dream a reality. To date, The Seany Foundation has raised over 3.8 million dollars in the fight against childhood cancer.

Today, The Seany Foundation’s main goal is to bring relief and happiness to kids struggling with cancer and to their families, particularly siblings. Cancer is a family disease, and it affects everyone who loves the person with the disease.

Mission Brewery is working with The Seany Foundation to send 25 kids to camp. Kids want to be kids, regardless of cancer. Help us raise money for this organization by attending one of our events or by donating here.
